A Little History

Trans Globe Lighting was born from the hopes and dreams of the Haber and Ziv families in 1986. We started out as a tiny outfit out of North Hollywood, CA distributing globes and bath strips for the best prices in town. But our ambition was always to offer one of the largest and most complete collections of indoor and outdoor residential lighting in the world. So while you were walking like an Egyptian and fighting over Cabbage Patch dolls, we were hard at work combing the globe for the latest styles and bringing them back for you to enjoy.

Twenty years later, quite a bit has changed- but not everything. While we have moved into a larger facility, we are still owned and operated by the same old family. Over the years, maintaining the same ownership has ensured a more intimate relationship with our customers, and we feel this is what separates us from other major lighting manufacturers. You can be assured that not much goes on around here without personal involvement from us. Your requests, praises, and even complaints are always heard by someone who cares.

Though our product lines and waistlines have expanded, we are not completely satisfied with where we are today. We still have many goals to achieve and improvements to make and we will never stop in our pursuit to bring you the latest in home fashions for the lowest prices.

Today we offer everything from six inch ceiling globes to 130 light crystal chandeliers, from ultra-contemporary pendants to very traditional table top accessories. Please continuing browsing our new website and you will see what I mean.
